(WNY News Now) – Lakewood, NY – Surrounded by board members, staff, local elected officials, Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce staff, friends, and family, John Felton, CEO of the Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union cut the ribbon Monday, May 20 on the new Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union Corporate Offices and Community Training Center. The facility at 110 Mall Blvd, Lakewood, is available for local nonprofits and businesses for trainings and events. Felton noted, “Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union started its service to schools many years ago and continues to do so, and now we are also very focused on ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families in Chautauqua County, as well as financial literacy programs. This facility helps to meet our mission by providing opportunities, especially for nonprofits, to convene in a very affordable and accessible community setting.”
Felton highlighted the credit union’s commitment to serving the community, particularly focusing on supporting ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families in Chautauqua County and promoting financial literacy programs. The newly opened center aligns with this mission by offering an affordable and accessible venue for nonprofits to convene and collaborate.
