Buffalo, NY – The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum and Beau Fleuve Music & Arts are excited to announce their collaborative event, the “Beau Fleuve Day of Play,” on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Explore & More, located at 130 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14202.

The “Day of Play” aims to make the museum more accessible to families by offering a Pay What You Wish! admission of $8, $10, or the regular $13 for adults and children aged 1 and up. This initiative is designed to remove financial barriers and encourage more community members to explore the museum’s offerings. Last year’s event saw over 900 attendees, with more than half visiting for the first time.
This year, Beau Fleuve is enhancing its support. Thanks to Buffalo Common Council Majority Leader Leah Halton-Pope, 400 free admission tickets will be available at select community centers on Buffalo’s East and West Sides, starting June 1. Each ticket includes a $5 food voucher for the Low Bridge Café, located on the museum’s first floor.
“One of our main goals this year was to provide a fun and accessible event for families, supporting hundreds of families in our community who might not frequent – or have ever been to – Explore & More,” said Lindsey L. Taylor, Founder of Beau Fleuve Music & Arts. “This is an intentional effort to ensure our East & West Side Communities have access to Explore & More. Through our partnership, we want to assist with every aspect.”
“We’re honored to work with Beau Fleuve again on this wonderful initiative,” said Michelle Urbanczyk, President & CEO of Explore & More. “This partnership, which we’re extremely grateful for, extends that opportunity to so many families in our community who may not otherwise have the chance.”
The NFTA will provide 100 Day Passes for transportation to make it easier for families to attend the event. The “Day of Play” will also feature exhibits, creative arts, music, and five youth entrepreneurs from Buffalo Kid Entrepreneurs.
This event is supported by district-elected officials Erie County Legislator Howard Johnson and Fillmore Councilmember Mitch Nowakowski.
