(WNY News Now) -DUNKIRK, NY — A significant drug raid in Dunkirk culminated in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of narcotics, firearms, and drug paraphernalia. The operation was the result of a four-month investigation into narcotics activities at 3711 Rt 5, Lot 24, executed on today, May 29, 2024, at 11:38 AM.

A four-month investigation into narcotics activity culminated in a search warrant executed at Lot 24, 3711 Route 5 in Dunkirk. The operation was carried out by narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Dunkirk Police Department, with support from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s SWAT and Dunkirk Police SRT.

Upon entry into the residence, authorities found Jesus M. Aponte-Rosario, 34, and Felipe A. Otero-Otero, 20. The search allegedly revealed 21.47 grams of cocaine, fentanyl, controlled prescription pills, two 9mm handguns, two large capacity magazines, scales, packaging material for narcotics distribution, and $778 in cash.

Aponte-Rosario faces multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd and 7th degrees, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd and 3rd degrees, Criminal Nuisance in the 1st degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree. He was also charged as a Fugitive from Justice due to an outstanding felony warrant from Cape May County, New Jersey. Otero-Otero was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree.

Both suspects were taken to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for arraignment.
