From lively concerts and food festivals to art showcases and community gatherings, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging residents and visitors alike to enjoy the festivities.
Westfield’s First Friday Series Kicks Off June 7
Westfield’s Main Street comes alive with the Chamber’s First Friday series starting June 7, featuring local restaurants, retailers, street vendors, food trucks, art, and live music. The event, sponsored by AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital, Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Westfield Boatworks, and Community Bank, runs from 5-8pm and is free to attend. The series continues on July 12, August 2, and September 6.
Hanover’s Beach Bash Showcase on June 13
The Chamber’s committee in Hanover presents the Beach Bash Showcase at Sunset Bay Beach Club in Irving on June 13 from 6-8pm. This event highlights local businesses with vendor tables, food, acoustic music, a basket raffle, and a cash bar. Tickets are $12 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members, available at www.chautauquachamber.org. Sponsors include Farrell Roofing, Financial Trust Federal Credit Union, M&T Bank, ADD Lumber True Value, and Brooks-TLC Hospital System.
Mayville’s Summer Concert Series Begins June 27
Mayville’s Lakeside Park hosts its annual Summer Concert Series starting June 27. The free, family-friendly concerts are from 6-8pm and feature a variety of acts sponsored by the Town of Chautauqua. Enjoy performances by Bill Ward & John Cross, Daniel Cecil, and more every Thursday through August 22.
Dunkirk’s Music on the Pier Launches June 6
Dunkirk’s Music on the Pier series starts June 6, featuring an opening act at 5:25pm followed by a headliner at 6:45pm every Thursday through August 22.
Jamestown’s Third Thursdays and Cruise-In
Jamestown Renaissance Corporation’s Third Thursdays continue with live acts on June 20, July 18, and August 15 at Wintergarden Plaza. Additionally, the popular Jamestown Cruise-In featuring custom and classic cars is set for August 11 in downtown Jamestown.
Festivals Fredonia and Great Blue Heron Music Festival
The Fredonia Italian Festival on June 22 at the Fredonia Beaver Club includes children’s activities, craft vendors, food and wine vendors, live music, and a meatball contest. Chautauqua Institution and Lily Dale Assembly Summer Seasons
Chautauqua Institution celebrates its 150th summer season from June 22 to August 25, featuring performances, lectures, and classes (tickets at chq.org). Lily Dale Assembly’s summer season kicks off June 23, running through August 30 (details at www.lilydaleassembly.org).
Lucille Ball Comedy Festival Highlights
The National Comedy Center’s Lucille Ball Comedy Festival the first weekend in August features Nicole Byer on August 1 and Jeff Ross on August 2, with a third act to be announced in mid-June.
