Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced that 32-year-old Sharee Bailey received a 10-year prison sentence followed by 5 years of post-release supervision. The sentence was handed down by State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller.

Bailey pleaded guilty to one count of Robbery in the First Degree, a Class “B” violent felony, as part of a plea deal that required her to testify against co-defendants Ernest B. Green, Jr., Daniel Rodriguez, and Wayne Robbins. Her involvement in the robbery culminated in the murders of Bethany B. Malloy, 21, and Shaquiel S. St. John, 26, in Buffalo.

In the early hours of September 27, 2019, Green and Robbins, acting together, fatally shot both victims inside a Merrimac Street residence. Police responded to a 911 call shortly after and found Malloy and St. John deceased.

Ernest B. Green, Jr., 41, and Wayne Robbins, 27, were both convicted by a jury of two counts of Murder in the First Degree and four counts of Murder in the Second Degree. Last month, they were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, the harshest penalty for their crimes.

In a related case, Green and another co-defendant, Daniel Rodriguez, 41, received 75 years to life in prison for the murder of Danielle Cretacci, 31, and the attempted murders of her two young daughters during an August 27, 2019, home invasion in Tonawanda. The children, aged 8 and 11 at the time, survived despite severe injuries, with one of them pretending to be dead and seeking help from a neighbor after the attackers fled.

Acting DA Keane commended law enforcement for their diligent work in both investigations, highlighting contributions from the Town of Tonawanda Police Department, Buffalo Police Department, and several other agencies. Special recognition was given to victim advocates Kimberly Rapp and Nicole Haffa for their support.

Prosecutors Chief Ryan D. Haggerty, ADA Christopher S. Safulko, and ADA Samantha N. King were acknowledged for their roles in securing the convictions and sentences in these tragic cases.
