(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – Jamestown man arrested for violating protection order and causing property damage.
In the early hours of June 9, 2024, at approximately 3:00 am, Jamestown Police Department officers responded to an alleged ongoing domestic dispute at an east side address. Upon arrival, they encountered 25-year-old Carlos J. Ruiz in a bathroom with the victim.
After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that Ruiz had violated an existing Order of Protection by allegedly forcibly entering the bathroom, resulting in a broken door frame. As a result, Ruiz faces charges of Aggravated Criminal Contempt and Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree.
Ruiz was promptly taken into custody and is currently held at the Jamestown City Jail, awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
