(WNY News Now) – Buffalo – Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announces that Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio has found a 32-year-old business owner from the Town of Lancaster guilty of one count of Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the Third Degree (Class “A” misdemeanor). Judge DiTullio rendered her decision this afternoon following a two non-consecutive day trial, convicting the defendant of the lesser included offense in the indictment.
On Friday, February 4, 2022, at approximately 12:09 p.m., members of the Cheektowaga Police Department executed a search warrant at business, operated by the David A. Zale, Jr., on the 1300 block of French Road. Police recovered approximately 10 pounds of cannabis from inside of the business.
Today, Zale was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge.
