Remote Area Medical (RAM) is bringing a free, two-day healthcare clinic to Jamestown, N.Y., and needs volunteers to make it happen.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (June 24, 2024) – Remote Area Medical (RAM), a renowned nonprofit organization providing free pop-up clinics for dental, vision, and medical care, is calling for volunteers for its upcoming clinic on September 14-15 at Jamestown Community College, located at 525 Falconer Street, Jamestown, NY 14701. This event is in collaboration with SUNY JCC and aims to serve those in need within the community.
RAM is in urgent need of medical, dental, and vision professionals to offer their expertise. Additionally, general support volunteers are essential to help set up the clinic on Friday, September 13, and assist in taking it down on Sunday, September 15. The organization is also seeking overnight parking volunteers to greet patients and interpreters to aid non-English speaking attendees both in the parking lot and during the clinic.

All services provided by RAM are entirely free, and no identification is necessary. The clinic operates on a first-come, first-served basis, offering a range of services including dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, X-rays, eye exams, health screenings, eyeglass prescriptions with on-site glasses making, women’s health exams, and general medical exams.
