(WNY News Now) – Allegany County – Residents and commuters in Allegany County should prepare for significant road closures this July as the county undertakes critical infrastructure repairs. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes to avoid delays and ensure smooth travel during these periods.
The following roads will be closed:
- County Road 19 in the Town of Independence: Closed from SR 248 to County Road 19A on July 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to install a temporary detour bridge. No on-site detour will be available.
- County Road 9 in the Town of Scio: Closed from Snowball Hollow Road to Morgan Hill Road on July 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to replace a culvert pipe. Motorists must find alternative routes as there will be no on-site detour.
- County Road 31A in the Town of Amity: Closed from Back River Road to Eymer Road from July 8 to July 11 for culvert pipe replacement. No on-site detour will be available, and drivers are urged to seek alternate routes.
