(WNY News Now) – Ischua – A man armed with a shotgun committed a home invasion in Ischua on June 27th, 2024, holding the homeowner and a family member at gun point, before robbing them and escaping in the victim’s vehicle.
On the evening of June 27, 2024, at approximately 9:22 p.m., a home invasion at 170 State Route 446 in Ischua, NY, culminated in the arrest of Stephen H. Frank IV, aged 32, from Olean. According to Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb, Frank allegedly broke into the residence, brandishing a shotgun. The intruder reportedly held the homeowner and a family member at gunpoint, robbing them before escaping in the victim’s vehicle.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office responded quickly, leading to Frank’s capture and arrest shortly thereafter. Frank was processed at the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and faces multiple charges, including first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, and fourth-degree grand larceny, with additional charges pending as the investigation continues. As are all persons accused of a crime, Frank is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
