(WNY News Now) – Mayville, NY – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Chautauqua County announces its 3rd Annual A Voice Fore A Child Beer & Wine Tasting Charity Golf Tournament to be held on Saturday, August 17 at Chautauqua Golf Club. Registration starts at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. The 18-hole, scramble format tournament will feature on-course tastings by local breweries, wineries, and coffee roasters. The tournament is presented by Mayshark Builders. The public is invited. 

Registration for a 4-person team includes tournament greens fees & cart, commemorative tasting mug with beer, wine, and coffee tastings on-course, light lunch on-course, dinner at awards ceremony, team picture & prizes. Registrations are due by August 4. 

Several on-course contests will take place. Prizes will be given to the 1st place men’s team, 1st place ladies team and 1st place ladies/men’s team. Other event activities include a wine/beer pull and basket raffle.

The tournament offers many ways for local organizations to support the mission of CASA through sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorships include exceptional public visibility, event recognition as well as greens fees & cart at the tournament. Sponsors include Blackstone Advanced Technologies, Every Child, Jamestown Awning, Jamestown Plastics, Liberty Solutions, Mayshark Builders, UPMC Chautauqua and Wegmans. Breweries, wineries, and coffee roasters will have the opportunity to feature their products and network with Chautauqua County businesses and community members. Vendors set up at the tee boxes and offer samplings of their products.

CASA of Chautauqua County, Inc. relies on highly trained volunteers who are appointed by a Chautauqua County Family Court Judge to advocate for children in court. These volunteers work with relevant agencies and parties in order to advocate for the best interest of the child. With the information provided by the CASA volunteer, Family Court Judges are better able to make informed decisions as to what is best for the child.
