(WNY News Now) – Rochester – A 21-year-old Rochester man was arrested Monday night following a gunpoint robbery on Joseph Avenue earlier that day.

The robbery occurred in the 200 block of Joseph Avenue, according to the Rochester Police Department. Officers quickly identified both the suspect and his vehicle, leading to an intensive search.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., officers located the suspect’s vehicle on Orange Street. Upon attempting to stop the vehicle, the suspect fled on foot. The chase concluded with the suspect’s arrest in the 300 block of Child Street.

The suspect faces multiple charges, including first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree menacing, and criminal obstruction of breath. His identity remains undisclosed pending arraignment on Tuesday.
