(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – Jamestown police respond to a domestic dispute resulting in felony charges against a local resident for violating protective orders.
On July 5, 2024, at approximately 7:10 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon were dispatched to an east side residence for an ongoing domestic dispute with reported injuries. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Andrew L. Crawford, a 29-year-old Jamestown resident, had entered the victim’s home and issued threats.
The investigation revealed that Crawford had violated two separate protective orders, leading to his immediate arrest. Crawford was also found with self-inflicted wounds, necessitating medical evaluation by EMS on the scene. Following treatment at UPMC, Crawford was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without further incident.
Crawford faces three felony counts of Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree, along with a charge of Harassment in the 2nd degree. He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
