(WNY News Now) -Niagara Falls -Heavy Rain Causes Untreated Sewage Discharge in Niagara Falls

The Niagara Falls (C) WWTP, NY0026336, has issued a notification regarding an untreated sewage discharge at 930 Luick, Niagara Falls, NY. The discharge, affecting Cayuga Creek, began on July 10, 2024, at 5:00 AM and is ongoing.

Due to heavy rain, the system reached capacity, causing an estimated 1500 gallons of untreated sewage to overflow. The lift station is operating at full capacity to manage the situation.
