(WNY News Now) – Salamanca, NY – In a concerning case of child endangerment, Dillon J. Lichy, 27, of Salamanca, was arrested following an investigation by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 15, 2024, Lichy’s minor child was found running unattended in the roadway multiple times, prompting law enforcement to take action. Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb reported that Lichy failed to provide adequate supervision, thereby putting the child at significant risk.
Lichy was arrested on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was processed and released on an appearance ticket, requiring him to appear in the Town of Salamanca Court at a later date. Judge Hostuttler will preside over the case. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
