(WNY News Now) – ELLERY, NY – On July 20, 2024, at approximately 11:22 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies, while patrolling Bemus Point, identified a speeding vehicle in the Town of Ellery. The driver, 19-year-old Ryan P. Pattison of Highland Heights, Ohio, was found to be driving while intoxicated.
Following a brief investigation, deputies discovered Pattison, who is under the legal drinking age, had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Pattison was promptly taken into custody and charged with Speed in Zone, Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Underaged Possession of Alcohol, and DWI.
After processing, Pattison was released with tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellery Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
