(WNY News Now) – Ellicott – In a recent fraud investigation, Ellicott Police have charged Andrew L. Gray, 37, of Kiantone, with grand larceny in the fourth degree.

On July 18, 2024, officers from the Town of Ellicott Police Department arrested Andrew L. Gray following an investigation into a fraudulent returns scheme. According to the police report, Gray is accused of completing fake item returns and pocketing the money.

The investigation began after a complaint was filed, prompting officers to delve into the details of the alleged fraud. The evidence gathered led to Gray’s arrest, where he was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a serious offense under New York State law.

Gray was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
