(WNY News Now) – Angelica, NY – Angelica Community Radio, Allegany County’s premier non-profit radio station, proudly announces a special outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s “Henry V” on Sunday, July 28th, at 3:00 p.m. in Angelica’s Park Circle.

Shake on the Lake Theatre Company, based in Perry, NY, brings its professional touring production to Angelica. Known for their engaging and dynamic performances, Shake on the Lake’s rendition of “Henry V” promises a unique experience. With only five actors portraying nearly 40 characters, this adaptation is fun, fast-paced, and physical, designed to captivate both Shakespeare novices and enthusiasts.

  • Date and Time: Sunday, July 28th, 3:00 p.m.
  • Location: Angelica’s Park Circle (Rain venue: Angelica Grange Hall)
  • Performance Style: Outdoor, daylight show inspired by Elizabethan staging

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and friends to enjoy the performance. The show includes original music by Matt Duncan, Chad Bradford, Tim Cooper, and the cast, adding a contemporary twist to the classic play.

This event is made possible through the support and funding from the Allegany County Area Foundation and the Statewide Community Regrants Program, with additional support from the New York State Council on the Arts, the Office of the Governor, and the New York State Legislature.
