(WNY News Now) – Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Bret M. Smith, 33, of South Dayton, following the execution of a search warrant on Indian Hill Rd. in the Town of Perrysburg. The incident occurred at approximately 10:17 AM on July 24, 2024.
Smith was taken into custody on two felony bench warrants issued by the Cattaraugus County Court. These warrants were pursuant to CPL 530.70. Following his arrest, Smith was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he is currently being held pending arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
