Sinclairville Man Charged with Obstruction of Breathing

(WNY News Now) – Sinclairville, NY – On July 31st, 2024, at approximately 3:44 PM, deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported altercation on Rt 60 in the Town of Charlotte. Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, deputies discovered that Michael P. Austin, 43, of Sinclairville, NY, had allegedly obstructed the breathing of another individual.

Austin was arrested at the scene and charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Subsequently, Austin was moved to the Chautauqua County Jail for further legal proceedings under the Centralized Arraignment Program (CAP). As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
