(WNY News Now) – Falconer – The Village of Falconer is gearing up to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, with an engaging community event at the Falconer Fire Hall.

The Village of Falconer will host its National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 6, inviting residents and local businesses to join in promoting community safety. As part of the nationwide initiative, residents are encouraged to keep their outside lights on to show solidarity and foster a safer environment.

From 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the Falconer Fire Hall will be the center of activity, offering a range of family-friendly activities. The event, open to all, will feature hands-on experiences such as Touch a Fire Truck, guided tours of the Fire Hall, and the opportunity to step inside an ambulance. Attendees can also explore a police car, learn about school bus safety, and enjoy activities like chalk drawing and face painting.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office will also be present with its K9 unit, adding an extra layer of excitement for attendees. Additionally, the Kiwanis Club will be selling drinks and hotdogs, making it a perfect evening for families to enjoy a meal together.

National Night Out is an annual event aimed at strengthening community bonds and enhancing neighborhood safety through positive interaction between residents and local law enforcement.
