(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, N.Y. — Levester Rose, 46, of Niagara Falls, NY, faces serious federal charges following his arrest for possession with intent to distribute over 40 grams of fentanyl. This charge carries a minimum penalty of five years and up to 40 years in prison.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy C. Lynch, Rose was apprehended as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Rose, who has prior drug convictions in 1995, 2014, and 2020, was identified as a key figure in the local narcotics trade. On July 31, 2024, law enforcement executed a search warrant at a residence on 26th Street in Niagara Falls, known to be associated with Rose. During the search, investigators recovered packages of suspected fentanyl.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the North Tonawanda Police Department, the Niagara Falls Police Department, and the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

It is important to note that charges are accusations, and Rose is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
