(WNY News Now) – Ellicott – Carl J. Silsby Sr. was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief following a domestic dispute in the Town of Ellicott.
On August 2, 2024, Town of Ellicott police responded to a domestic dispute involving Carl J. Silsby Sr., 35, of Jamestown. During the incident, Silsby allegedly engaged in actions that resulted in the destruction of public property and endangered the welfare of a child.
Silsby has been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of criminal mischief in the fourth degree. He was taken into custody and subsequently released with an appearance ticket.
Silsby is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
