(WNY News Now) – Ellicott – Two Jamestown women face charges of petit larceny following a series of thefts at a local store.

On August 3, 2024, at 1:30 PM, Tayler Treadway, 28, and Jacquelyn Hayes, 33, both of Jamestown, were charged with petit larceny by the Town of Ellicott police. The charges stem from a past tense larceny complaint alleging that Treadway and Hayes took items from a store on multiple occasions without paying.

The Town of Ellicott police responded to the complaint and, after investigation, determined that the two women were responsible for the thefts. Both Treadway and Hayes were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
