(WNY News Now) – Silver Creek – Early Sunday morning, a 23-year-old Silver Creek resident was arrested for criminal mischief following a swift response from deputies.

On August 4, 2024, at approximately 9:36 a.m., deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in Silver Creek following a report of criminal mischief in progress. Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, it was determined that Dennis J. Schaff, age 23, had committed an act of criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

Schaff was promptly arrested at the scene and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for CAP arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
