(WNY News Now) – Celoron – The Village of Celoron is calling on residents to respect the construction area as the new playground in Lucille Ball Memorial Park nears completion.
The Village of Celoron is in the final stages of installing a new playground in Lucille Ball Memorial Park. While the playground equipment has been set up, the ground preparation for the solid surface application is still underway. To ensure safety and quality, the playground area is currently fenced off and marked as closed.
Despite clear warnings, both adults and children have been entering the restricted area, disturbing the surface. This interference has forced workers to redo the preparation work, causing delays in the project timeline. The village emphasizes the importance of allowing the surface to be poured and set undisturbed for three to four days to avoid further damage and setbacks.
The Village of Celoron is asking the community to cooperate by staying out of the playground area to facilitate the timely opening of this much-anticipated facility. By respecting the closure, residents can help ensure that the new playground will be safe and ready for use as soon as possible.
