(WNY News Now) – Dunkirk – A Jamestown man was arrested twice within hours on August 6th after escalating domestic disputes in Dunkirk, NY, leading to multiple charges and a second arraignment.

On August 6th, 2024, at approximately 12:05 PM, Dunkirk police responded to a domestic incident in progress at a business on Lake Shore Drive East. During their investigation, 20-year-old Jayden K. Feaster of Jamestown, NY, allegedly obstructed officers by preventing them from speaking with the victim. As officers attempted to arrest him for obstruction, Feaster resisted, allegedly damaging a car door and throwing the victim’s cell phone into Lake Erie. Feaster was subsequently charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, and Resisting Arrest.

Feaster was arraigned at 3:00 PM by Judge John Kuzdale in Dunkirk City Court and was released on his own recognizance under New York State bail reform laws. However, less than an hour later, at 4:09 PM, Dunkirk police were called to a second domestic incident outside the police department. In this encounter, Feaster allegedly brandished a steak knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim’s vehicle infotainment unit. The victim sustained a minor hand injury while attempting to stop the damage.

Feaster was taken into custody once again and charged with Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree. On the morning of August 7th, 2024, Feaster was arraigned by Judge Rachel Robert in Dunkirk City Court and was re-released under probation supervision in accordance with state bail reform protocols.
