(WNY News Now) – Dunkirk’s Chautauqua Center Community Picnic Goes On, Rain or Shine!

The weather looks favorable for the Chautauqua Center Community Picnic in Dunkirk today. The event, set to run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Salvation Army on Central Avenue, will proceed regardless of the weather.

Much of the picnic will be held indoors, ensuring attendees can enjoy activities such as vendor booths, Marty’s Bubblegum Machine, face painting, and a new photo booth offering picture keepsakes. The Salvation Army Anew Center will provide walking tacos, and the Jamestown Public Market will distribute free fresh produce. Additional treats include popcorn, water, and offerings from a smoothie food truck.

Highlighting the day’s festivities is a free backpack giveaway in celebration of Community Health Center Week. This event promises fun and community spirit, come rain or shine.
