(WNY News Now) – Belfast – A key stretch of County Road 26 in the Town of Belfast will be closed for essential repairs on August 20, impacting local traffic and requiring alternate routes.

The Chautauqua County Public Works Department has announced a temporary closure of County Road 26 between Van Allen Road and Lilly Road on August 20, 2024. The road will be shut down from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to facilitate the replacement of a culvert.

Motorists traveling in this area should prepare for disruptions and are advised to seek alternate routes during the closure. The Public Works Department will not provide an on-site detour, so drivers should plan accordingly to avoid delays.
