(WNY News Now) – Falconer – On August 12, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., a domestic dispute at a Falconer hotel led to significant charges for Jacob A. Matherly, 31, and Danielle R. Olsen, 38. Both residents of Falconer, Matherly faces charges of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, while Olsen is charged with assault in the second degree.
According to the Town of Ellicott Police Department, the incident unfolded when Matherly allegedly covered Olsen’s mouth, impeding her ability to breathe. In response, Olsen is reported to have stabbed Matherly in the arm with a knife.
The police transported both individuals to Chautauqua County Jail, where they were held for a centralized arraignment. Matherly and Olsen are scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott court at a future date to address the charges against them. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
