(WNY News Now) – Olean – A 53-year-old Olean resident was arrested on August 16th after authorities discovered an active felony indictment warrant.
On the morning of August 16, 2024, Darryl V. Myers, 53, of Olean, New York, was apprehended by law enforcement officers at his residence on 1778 Cherry Street. The arrest occurred at approximately 9:51 a.m. after a felony indictment warrant, issued by the Cattaraugus County Court, was executed.
Following his arrest, Myers was transported to the Olean Police Department for fingerprinting and processing. Subsequently, he was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he remains in custody pending further court proceedings. Myers has been remanded without bail, and his case will be presided over by Judge Ploetz in the Cattaraugus County Court.
The incident was handled by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from local law enforcement agencies. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
