(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – YWCA Jamestown proudly announces the appointment of Britney McClain as its new Mission and Impact Coordinator. With her deep commitment to social justice and race equity, McClain is set to enhance the organization’s efforts in advancing equity and inclusion across Chautauqua County.

In her new role, McClain will drive the mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, ensuring that these core values are integrated into every YWCA program and interaction. Additionally, she will spearhead the I.D.E.A. Coalition of Chautauqua County, providing vital support to local organizations and businesses to foster an inclusive community environment.

A native of Western New York, McClain holds an undergraduate degree from the University at Buffalo and a graduate degree in Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management from Buffalo State University. Her dedication extends beyond her professional work; she is also a board member at the St. Susan Center and actively engages in community service.

Amanda Gesing, Executive Director of YWCA Jamestown, expressed her enthusiasm for McClain’s appointment: “Ms. McClain is going to be a tremendous asset to the organization and community as we move forward striving for a place of equity and inclusion. Her previous experience in community organizing in Buffalo and her work here in Chautauqua County working with youth provides her with the foundational knowledge that will help further our mission both internally and externally.”
