(WNY News Now) – Falconer – A Falconer resident faces charges after allegations surfaced that he failed to protect a child from potential harm.

Ishmael U. Johnson, 28, of Falconer, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation conducted by the Ellicott Police Department. The incident reportedly occurred on August 19, 2024, at approximately 1:30 p.m.

According to authorities, Johnson is accused of failing to prevent a child from becoming a neglected or abused child. While specific details surrounding the alleged incident have not been disclosed, the charge suggests serious concerns regarding the child’s safety and well-being.

Johnson was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
