(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – On August 24, 2024, at approximately 5:04 PM, Jamestown Police officers responded to a report of suspicious activity near E. 3rd Street and Potters Alley. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the side of a building where it was clear that someone had defecated on the structure.
Further investigation led the officers to identify the individual responsible as 67-year-old Donna J. Torres, a Jamestown resident. Torres had left the scene, but officers located her nearby and took her into custody without incident.
Torres was charged with Criminal Tampering in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor under New York State law. Following her arrest, she was transported to the city jail and later released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court to face the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
