(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – A late-night stabbing incident on August 23rd led a 34-year-old man to seek medical help at University Hospital, where he arrived with a stab wound to his chest.

On Friday, August 23rd, at approximately 11:27 p.m., Syracuse Police responded to a report of a stabbing victim at University Hospital, located at 750 East Adams Street. The victim, a 34-year-old male, had been driven to the emergency room by a private vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers found the man with an apparent stab wound to his chest. The injury, though serious, is considered non-life-threatening, and the victim is currently listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the stabbing occurred in the 400 block of West Onondaga Street. The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
