(WNY News Now) – Dunkirk – A coordinated narcotics search in Dunkirk uncovers controlled substances, leading to multiple arrests in a neighborhood plagued by drug activity.
For the second time in just one week, narcotics investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 56 W. Doughty Street in Dunkirk. The raid, carried out on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at approximately 12:45 PM, led to the arrest of four individuals on various drug-related charges.
The Special Response Team (SRT) of the Dunkirk Police made entry into the residence, where they discovered 5.50 grams of crack cocaine, scales, packaging materials, and $150 in cash—items commonly associated with the sale and distribution of narcotics.
The suspects arrested at the scene were:
- Kevin Dejesus-Rivera, 32, of Dunkirk, charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd and 5th degrees, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree, and Criminal Nuisance in the 1st degree.
- Jade B. Stocks, 25, of Cassadaga, charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd and 5th degrees, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree.
- Christian Ayala-Gonzalez, 37, of Dunkirk, charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd and 7th degrees, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree, and Criminal Nuisance in the 1st degree.
- Yamil J. Carrasquillo-Torres, 47, of Dunkirk, charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and Criminal Nuisance in the 1st degree.
All four suspects were transported to the Dunkirk Police Department and later arraigned in the City of Dunkirk Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
