(WNY News Now) – Forestville – A five-month investigation culminated in a significant narcotics bust in Forestville, NY, as authorities seized dangerous drugs and arrested two men.

On the morning of August 23, 2024, law enforcement from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Dunkirk Police Department, and Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at 10925 Dennison Rd., Forestville, NY, concluding a five-month investigation into local narcotics activity. Inside the residence, officers found and arrested Joshua Vanbuskirk, 33, of Forestville, and Franklin Silvagnia, 25, of Silver Creek.

The search yielded 14.8 grams of crack cocaine, 12.79 grams of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia including scales and packaging materials, and $1,055 in cash. Both Vanbuskirk and Silvagnia face serious charges, including four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree.

The suspects were transported to the Chautauqua County Jail and are awaiting arraignment under the Centralized Arraignment Program. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
