(WNY News Now) – Franklinville – A domestic dispute between sisters escalated into violence, resulting in the arrest of a Franklinville woman on multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of a child.

On August 21, 2024, at approximately 5:40 PM, deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a physical domestic incident at 48 South Main St., Franklinville, New York. The investigation revealed that an argument between two sisters had escalated into a violent confrontation.

Tiffany M. Roberts, 37, of Franklinville, was arrested at the scene and charged with Assault in the Third Degree, Attempted Assault in the Second Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The charges stem from the physical nature of the altercation and the presence of a child during the incident.

Roberts was arraigned before Judge Holden in the Village of Franklinville Court and was subsequently released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to return to court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
