(WNY News Now) – Portville – A Portville resident faces charges after allegedly threatening his elderly neighbor, escalating concerns over community safety.
On the evening of August 24, 2024, at approximately 8:11 p.m., Cyrus Y. Reed, 64, of Portville, New York, was charged with Menacing in the third degree, a class B misdemeanor. The incident occurred at 90 S Main St, where Reed allegedly used physical intimidation to place an elderly neighbor in fear of injury.
Reed was processed, arraigned, and subsequently released with an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Portville Village Court to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
