(WNY News Now) – Ashville – A domestic dispute in Ashville escalated to violence, resulting in the arrest of a 20-year-old man for criminal mischief.

On August 25, 2024, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the Lakewood Busti Police Department responded to a domestic incident at 1792 Hoag Road in Ashville, NY. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Izaiah N. Clark, 20, had forcibly broken down a bathroom door during a heated argument with an elderly female relative. In the course of the altercation, other household items were thrown and damaged, further escalating the situation.

Clark was taken into custody without incident and transported to the County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Processing. He has been charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree and will appear in the Town of Busti Court at a later date.

The Lakewood Busti Police are continuing their investigation into the matter, and no further details have been released. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
