(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – A Monday night shooting on James Street has left one man hospitalized, sparking an ongoing investigation.

On Monday, August 26th, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Syracuse Police responded to a shooting incident on the 2900 block of James Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was immediately transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear as investigators work to piece together the events of the night.
