(WNY News Now) – Silver Creek – A Silver Creek man faces multiple charges after a late-night incident where he allegedly threatened others with a knife, including a child.
In the early hours of August 31, 2024, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) patrol responded to reports of a disorderly individual in the roadway in Silver Creek, NY. Upon arrival, deputies encountered 33-year-old Joshua D. Adams, who was reportedly acting aggressively and had been involved in a physical altercation earlier in the evening.
According to the CCSO, the situation escalated when Adams left the scene, only to return armed with a knife. Witnesses reported that Adams brandished the weapon and threatened the lives of those present, including a child. Authorities took Adams into custody without further incident.
Adams has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Menacing in the Second Degree, Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree, and Harassment in the Second Degree. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
