Jamestown Resident Faces Multiple Charges After Weapon Incident
(WNY News Now) – Brooklyn Square, Jamestown – At approximately 3:47 PM on Thursday, September 12th, local police responded to a report of a person wielding a weapon in Brooklyn Square. Officers arrived to find 45-year-old Jamestown resident Lewis P. Campbell Jr. armed with a fencing sword.
Initial investigations revealed that Campbell had used the sword to strike an individual and threatened several others, including a child, with the weapon. The situation escalated as Campbell was found to be in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine mixed with fentanyl.
Campbell was arrested and transported to the city jail. He faces multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, Menacing in the 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Campbell is currently held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
