(WNY News Now) – Salamanca – On September 13, 2024, at approximately 2:16 a.m., a traffic stop on South Main Street in Salamanca, NY, resulted in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of a substantial quantity of narcotics and cash. The arrests followed a routine vehicle stop that escalated into a major drug operation bust.
Deputies pulled over a vehicle containing Bradley E. Gabel, 38, of Gowanda, NY; Brynn A. Haskins, 40, of Ferguson, KY; Kayla M. Mitchell, 26, of Lawtons, NY; and Charles M. Braswell, 39, of Gowanda, NY. During the stop, law enforcement officers discovered 33.2 grams of suspected fentanyl, 4.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 1.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 7.1 grams of amphetamine/dextroamphetamine pills, and 7.0 grams of clonazepam pills. Additionally, deputies seized $4,347 in cash and a range of drug paraphernalia.
Following their arrests, all four suspects were transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. They were later brought before the Town of Ellicottville Court for arraignment. Gabel was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail. Braswell’s bail was set at $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, and $40,000 partial secure bond. Mitchell and Haskins were released on their own recognizance. All arrestees are scheduled to appear in the City of Salamanca Court for further proceedings.
