(WNY News Now) – ELLICOTTVILLE, NY – A traffic stop in the Town of Ellicottville resulted in the arrest of 50-year-old Thomas Previglian of Salamanca, NY, after police discovered more than 80 grams of suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. The arrest was made by the Ellicottville Police Department with assistance from Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Previglian was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B felony, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor. He also faces a traffic violation.

Following his arraignment in the Town of Ellicottville Court, Previglian was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court at a later date to answer to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
