(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – At approximately 7:38 a.m. on September 16, 2024, Syracuse Police officers responded to the 2200 block of Park Street following reports of a motor vehicle collision. A tractor-trailer had struck an overhead railroad bridge, leading to significant delays and concerns about the structural impact on the bridge.
Upon arrival, officers from the Syracuse Police Department’s Traffic Section inspected the scene. The trailer involved in the incident sustained significant damage, ultimately being deemed out of service due to its condition. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the bridge itself did not appear to have sustained any immediate structural harm.
