(WNY News Now) – Great Valley – On the morning of September 13, 2024, deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident on North Whalen Road in the Town of Great Valley. Following an investigation, 42-year-old Brandy M. Weaver, a resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody.

Weaver faces charges of harassment in the second degree, a violation under New York Penal Law Section 240.26, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor under Penal Law Section 260.10.

After her arrest, Weaver was transported to the Town of Ellicottville Court for arraignment. She was released on her own recognizance and is required to appear in the Town of Great Valley Court on a later date to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
