(WNY News Now) – Machias – On September 19, 2024, at approximately 11:25 AM, deputies from the Town of Machias arrested Alexander J. Hesterly following a domestic incident investigation. Authorities reported that Hesterly violated a stay away order of protection by visiting the victim’s home.
The investigation revealed that Hesterly’s actions constituted a breach of the legal order intended to ensure the victim’s safety. Following his arrest, Hesterly was processed and subsequently released. He is scheduled to return to court on September 30, 2024, to face the charges against him. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
