(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – In the early hours of Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, Syracuse Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 400 block of Fitch Street. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 12:55 a.m., discovering evidence of a shooting. A few minutes later, authorities were notified of a walk-in victim at Crouse Hospital, a 20-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds to his hand and leg.
The victim, believed to have been shot at the Fitch Street location, is currently in stable condition and expected to survive.
