(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – A 22-year-old man was injured during a late-night stabbing incident on South Crouse Avenue. Authorities are investigating possible links to other recent altercations.

In the early hours of Sunday, September 22, 2024, Syracuse Police responded to a stabbing incident on the 700 block of South Crouse Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene at approximately 1:56 a.m. to find a 22-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to his buttocks.

The victim was promptly transported to Upstate Hospital by American Medical Response, where medical staff determined that his injuries were non-life-threatening. He is expected to make a full recovery. Police have confirmed that the victim has no known connection to Syracuse University.

Authorities are also investigating a separate stabbing incident reported around the same time on Marshall Street, though preliminary findings suggest that the two incidents are unrelated.
